Located one hour away from the airport the Weralugama Forest House and its neighbouring properties act as a reservation to the Kankaniyamulla Forest Reserve. The towering forest trees seem to absorb sound and sunlight, and our place offers a retreat into a world of coolness, calm and quiet, disturbed only by birds and passing monkeys by day and a chorus of cicadas and frogs by night. We have a large property with three residences and a swimming pool and gazebo/gym. The property is right on the lagoon where there is great kitesurfing and we also run a small kayaking business. The Hut is fenced for privacy and there is Wifi throughout the property. Kappalady is a small village with a shop and a few restaurants within walking distance. The beach is the other side of the lagoon and is a short walk across. We have a cafe called Lagoonies and a kite school called Kite Buddies
