Quirky Tin Cottage near the Mendip Hills

Our cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream, next to our house. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (it also has central heating ;-)), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a veranda for sitting and watching the world go by, oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.

The property enjoys excellent transport links (bus stop 1 min walk, train station 10 min walk, Bristol Airport 10 min drive) whilst backing onto beautiful countryside and a great view - you can hop straight into the fields! The Annexe is connected to the main house, so respectful guests are welcomed :) Backwell is a great village on the outskirts of Bristol, with pubs/restaurants all in easy walking distance.

A perfect 'tiny home' for visitors wanting a city break or a country escape or a blend of both. Use this haven as a base to see the sites, sounds and sports activities offered in the city of Bristol. Adventure on foot for gorgeous walks or cycle along the great network of cycle paths. Day drives to Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury, and surrounds are within easy reach. For those commuters who need access to Bristol International Airport, we are a stone's throw away (by bus or Uber).

The Garden Room

In Backwell, a 20-min drive from Bristol Airport, relax in the quiet garden room, a contemporary self-contained double bedroom with an ensuite wet room. Arrive to chocolate and a glass of wine, maybe on the terrace. There's juice, fruit and a cereal bar as well as tea or Dolce Gusto hot chocolate, cappucino or Americano. Please let me know of any allergies or intolerances. The Rising Sun is a short walk away and provides great food and drinks all day. Heaven Coffee House is very near too.

The Nest at Backwell

Situated in Backwell near Bristol and 3 miles from the airport, the Nest is a bright, relaxing and peaceful space. Two great pubs and cafes, takeaway and grocery shops are within a short walk. Great transport links from the Nest to Bristol via train and bus and the airport is only a 10 minute drive away. The Space King size bed in open plan bedroom/sitting room with small double sofa bed. Perfect for couples or individuals to explore the beautiful Chew Valley and Mendip Hills and the cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells. The Beehive is next to our family home with access via our garden. Hello! Our home is in the vibrant and colourful area of Southville, just a short 15 minute walk from Bristol city centre. Southville is a very popular part of Bristol and home to Upfest, which is Europe’s biggest street art festival. The accommodation itself is a self-contained part of our home with its own private entrance. Inside, you’ll find a bright and spacious bedroom with en suite shower room. Directly beneath in the basement is a lounge area with kitchenette.

Coach House Backwell

The Coach House is a large 2 bedroom cottage situated in the spacious courtyard and grounds of a Grade II listed 17th century house. It is located in the attractive West Town Conservation area of Backwell, close to village shops and amenities and a pub serving food 200m away. The village of Backwell is just 7 miles south west of Bristol, 15 mins by car, with excellent bus and train links. Whilst new to Airbnb it has been a 4 star holiday let since 2003.

Fairywells is a self-contained barn conversion. It is attached to our stable block across the stable yard from our farmhouse. The property is newly converted. It is located in beautiful rural Somerset, yet ideal for central Bristol (15 minute drive) and Bristol Airport (less than 10 minute drive). There are lovely local walks straight from the property, with a footpath leading down to the pretty village of Barrow Gurney which has a pub and shop.
