Stunning sea views and beautiful birdsong converge at this idyllic and private cottage nestled in the trees in Plimmerton. Conveniently located just 25 minutes from Wellington city centre. Aspen Cottage offers beautifully presented studio accommodation with modern decor. The self-contained studio with one queen bed, separate from the owner's house, and has its own private entrance and off-road car parking. Safe swimming beaches, excellent local eateries and stunning coastal scenery all nearby.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

Mount Welcome Shearers Cottage

This is a romantic little cottage with a lovely ensuite and kitchenette. Enjoy a comfy Queen sized bed and cotton linens. The cottage has its own garden next to the homestead. Just moments from the l Escarpment track and the train station making it very easy to get into Wellington cbd (35mins). Our neighbours are developing the land so we are expecting noise this coming summer during the daytime but its sporadic, hence the lower than usual rates. If your dates are unavailable please ask.

You will have access to the whole unit – two bedrooms, lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. There are also three private deck areas for your use.
