The house is located in the quiet and pretty village of Palaikastro, 16km from the town of Sitia, 6km from the beautiful palm beach of Vai, 2km from Kouremenos beach with its windsurfing stations, and 2km from Chiona beach and the archaeological site of Roussolakkos. The house is 100m from the village square.

Originally operating as a coffee house, it was located at the central square of the village. In 1940, the building was transformed into a residence, where the grandparents spent their years raising their children and grandchildren.
