New cabin, located 5 minutes from town and under 20 minutes from White Pass. The cabin is nestled at the peaceful end of a rural road, next to its sister cabin. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide mountain views. The cabin is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, bathrobes, slippers, a large washer/dryer. Our fully renovated rustic 1948 Base Camp is located in Packwood WA. We're walking distance to the Packwood Brewery, local restaurants, and grocery store. Our cabin located in town, is just 10 minutes from the Gifford Pinchot National forest, and only 11.9 miles from the Ohanapecosh campground. Google Maps shows Packwood as 2.5 hours from Portland or Seattle, and only 20 minutes from White Pass Skiing. Enjoy your next trip to Mt Rainier or the White Pass ski resort while staying at Base Camp.

Historical White Pass Ticket Booth Packwood

This is the original White Pass Ski Resort ticket booth, then lifty shack, and finally wax room, built in the 1950's, when White Pass first opened. It became somewhat run down and put out of service, but was rescued by a Packwoodian with vision. It was hauled down from White Pass on a flatbed truck, where it was given a new metal roof, insulation, rough-hewn cedar and corrugated metal interior walls. With log bunkbeds, rocking chairs, cozy blankets, it's a snug abode for skiers and hikers!

Custom built in 2020 by host with lots of handmade wood accents for that mountain feeling. Come to hike, fish, ski or just relax. Twenty minutes to the Stevens Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier and twenty-five minutes White Pass Ski area. The quaint little town of Packwood is just 5 minutes away with restaurants, grocery and a brewery. The cabin is nestled in the woods at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood and fast cable Wi-Fi. Walk to Skate Creek. Short hike to Skate Creek Park.

Log Cabin. Located one mile from Gifford Pinchot National Forest surrounded by trees, roaming Elk and beautiful mountain views. Peaceful, quiet and secure property. Perfect place for hunters, hikers, skiers, adventurers or a romantic getaway. The cabin is 12'x16' with a private drive and fencing for privacy, fire pit and BBQ grill with a picnic bench, toilet and sink but no shower or tub. It has a coffee bar but no kitchen.
