The southern entrance of the Addo Elephant National Park is only 4.2 km by tar road. The Sundays River is navigable for +- 22 km, passing through the quaint villages of Cannonvillle & Colchester before meandering into the Indian Ocean.

It is situated a mere 3 km from Matyolweni, South entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park. Private entrance and free parking in secured property. Free standing self-catering cottages. Large en-suite bedroom with King size bed and shower. Open plan kitchen and lounge area walking out onto a wooden deck. Shared BBQ and splash pool facilities with other guests. Due to safety measures around pool, no children under 12 years are allowed. All safari arrangements must be booked exclusively through Hitgeheim. Outside safari operators are not permitted, as they do not meet the standard associated with our guest experience.

Avoca River Cabins

Each riverside semi-detached unit has an open plan living/sleeping area and partly closed loft room. The thatch roof unit sleeps 4 people. It has 2 x single beds on the ground floor plus the first floor loft room has two beds and is accessible by staircase. Bedding and towels provided! The unit has a private shower / toilet. There is a private kitchenette and barbeque. These Semi detached units are charged at R1100 per unit per night (excluding breakfast).
