The campsite is located approximately 40km from Richmond and is part of Whispering Hope Guest Farm's accommodation. The campsite is situated in the Karoo veld, away from the hustle and bustle of modern day life. We offer a unique experience - your very own campsite, far away from everyone and everything with only nature and wildlife as your neigbours. Our campsite is very private and secluded, giving you the chance to experience the Great Karoo in all of its raw and natural beauty.

Iliwa Camp Karoo

Iliwa tented camp lies under the cliffs on the river.The main area tent has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and dining area.For those wanting to cook under the stars there is camp fire.Spacious tents offer comfortable kingsize beds.A hot bucket shower is tucked away in the cliffs.There are two compositing toilets. Birdwatch, spot a variety of wildlife roaming the veld or swim in the crystal clear mountain river. The Mountain Zebra Park is 20km away ideal for a day trip.

Oupa Carl Secluded Tent @ BaliesGat Accommodation

This secluded mountain retreat is perfect for 2 adults and 2 children, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Enjoy a private waterfall and rock pool just 300m away, plus comforts including linen and towels, a gas stove and oven, medium fridge/freezer, and a closed combustion wood stove.
