The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

It has a separate entrance from the main home allowing for more privacy with its own bathroom and kitchenette (with microwave, two elements, air fryer, fridge, kettle and toaster). There is plenty of free street parking as well as a single car parking space next to the airbnb (for small cars only).

A separate small building contains the toilet.
