These three acres of forested property allow you to enjoy the quiet seclusion of nature, but remain only a thirteen minute drive to Nelson, and eight minutes from the Whitewater turn off (closer than Nelson). Return from a long day of skiing to warm up in the wood fired cast iron tub by the river or enjoy the six person electric hot tub with lounger and watch the Salmo river flow by. The Acorn Guest House

The Acorn Guest House is a two-level, self-contained accommodation located 2 minutes from the ferry landing in Balfour, BC and only 30 minutes from Nelson. Wind your way across the road and down the trail to our private sandy beach, and roast some marshmallows on the campfire while you’re there. Novelty and adventure are nearby: only 3 minutes to Nelson, 28 minutes to Whitewater Ski Hill, and 1 minute to Lyons Bluff hiking trail.

Our property borders the Selkirk Loop walking trails, is near Selkirk College and the Regional Airport. The bungalows provide a clean, comfortable stay with all the amenities including fully stocked kitchen and stylish furnishings.

A second cabin with a twin bed is available as well and the two cabins have a shared bathroom in a separate building with a bathtub and a outdoor shower! 10 minutes to Kokanee Provincial Park with hiking and mountain bike trails galore! Relax in the hammock, have a campfire and cook up dinner with the outdoor bbq/kitchen area!
