The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

Relax in a peaceful oasis within minutes of thriving Castlemaine. The one bedroom studio sits amongst the gum trees on a beautiful 1 acre property. Situated on the lower level of the property creating a feeling of seclusion. The recently built elevated studio has plenty of natural light with windows looking out into nature. There is a comfortable queen bed. Open plan sitting room with dining table, kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom. Your own deck to sit back and enjoy the sounds of the birds.

The Mudhouse - gorgeous, earthy, comfy & private

Kick back & relax in this calm, stylish, peaceful space in a bush setting 4kms from Castlemaine. The Mudhouse is back after a 5 year break. Offering the perfect get away for couples or a small family. There is a queen size bed and a double fold down couch which can be made up for two people to share. Renowned for its easy location to thriving Castlemaine, The Mudhouse boasts comfort, luxury and is equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. EV charging maybe available on request

The Little Barn, French inspired 1 bedroom haven

Welcome to the Little Barn situated in quiet cul-de-sac a 1km stroll from the hub of Maldon’s shops and cafes. Drive down the driveway & the picturesque grove of silver birch trees to the charming cottage with private entrance. Past the little sitting area, perfect spot for a late afternoon wine or cuppa and through the French doors to a light filled living area with soaring cathedral ceiling and a comfortable French- Hamptons vibe. Sit back in front of the lovely wood heater and relax .

Artsy eco stay Studio 271

Studio 271 is an Aussie shed on the outside and Nordic cabin on the inside providing a comfortable stay in serene bushland just 4 kms from the heart of Castlemaine. The property accessed from a short dirt road. Studio 271 is private and spacious both inside and outside. Cosy up to the wood fire or fire pit on chilly nights, eat breakfast on the veranda, listen to the songs of the local birds while looking out over the bush, and cool yourself in air-conditioning in the heat of the summer.

Myrtle Creek Cottage

Down a country lane on the banks of Myrtle Creek and opposite the old red brick church, this completly private and self sufficient cottage attached to the main house is set in quiet paddocks where old red gums cast deep shade. Built in 2024 as an extension to our sustainable house, there is a stylish full kitchen and bathroom. A couple of Golden Retrievers are love and affection on legs and walks in the granite country are special. Or you can head to Bendigo, Castlemaine or local wineries

Temperance House Long Room

A long room at the front of the house leading to the balcony. This room is semi-partitioned with a lounge/reading room in front of the gas fire, and an oversized antique queen-size bed set back in the main room. Share a bottle of local wine from the mini bar or have a morning coffee overlooking the main street. Room includes ensuite bathroom with shower and bath, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities, reverse cycle air conditioning, gas fire and wi-fi. Breakfast is provided in the room.

‘52Views’ a private retreat with panoramic views

Welcome to 52Views, a private hilltop retreat with sweeping views over historic Castlemaine and its leafy surrounds. If coming by train, its an easy, enjoyable trip well under 2 hours from Melbourne. We are only 500m from the station, and we’re happy to offer a lift if we’re around. Relax in your self-contained space and garden, or explore the vibrant Goldfields region. The town centre, Botanical Gardens and Mill Markets are all within walking distance. And we are pet friendly too!

Sandon Ridge Studio

A little piece of history, set on 4 acre surrounded by Green Gully creek & tucked under the Sandon ridge. The original stone dwelling (circa 1853) was running as the Sandon Tavern until around 1910, the second dwelling (Studio) built approximately 20 years ago has a beautiful large living room with fire place, entertaining courtyard with pizza oven & two beautiful bedrooms. It is the perfect weekend get-away to relax & explore the local surrounds of Castlemaine, Daylesford & Maldon.

School House No. 1083 Kyneton

School House was built in Lauriston in the 1860's and was later transported to central Kyneton. Honouring the original character and charm, it has been beautifully restored and is surrounded by your own private garden, veranda, BBQ and entertainment area. School House has private entry. Studio-style with one large room consisting of a queen bed, single sofa-bed, lounge and modern kitchen and bathroom. School House has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay.
