Our cosy, 1860's cottage has a self checkin entrance & sits in a private garden with views to the old barn. The living room, kitchenette, bedroom & bathroom make an ideal getaway for couples. Set on four acres, the property backs onto a treed area alongside the Werribee River. It has chickens & friendly alpacas to visit, but is a mere 5 minute walk into town. Ballan is the perfect base from which to explore Daylesford, Trentham, Blackwood, Creswick & Ballarat. All are within a 30 minute drive.

"Le Shed"

Nestled amongst the trees, adjacent to the Wombat State Forest, "Le Shed" is unique & relaxing, perfect for singles or a couple. Ideally located just a short walk into the tiny town of Blackwood offering the country style hotel, with great pub grub, and the PO offers good coffee & light lunches in the garden. Local attractions include B'wood Ridge Nursery offering amazing food & wine, & Garden of St Erth a short bush walk away. Trentham,10 mins away, Daylesford/Kyneton 25 mins. Pet Friendly

Rancho Relaxo Eco House

Rancho Relaxo Eco House is an off-grid property, just a 10 minute drive (13kms) outside of Daylesford, VIC. It is an ideal couples retreat or a friends getaway. The Cottage is two story and the main bed and additional bed (within the reading area) is located on the 2nd level. The Cottage, including the sleeping areas, is an open plan space with natural light and views of the spring fed dams and paddocks. Local bird life is abundant and you may see the occasional Kangaroo wandering the grounds.

Blackwood "Treetops"

An almost entirely open plan house with a vast master bedroom upstairs and a bunk room downstairs, the house sleeps up to six, with a modern kitchen, wood fire, outside deck and large garden, set close by the Wombat State Forest. Suitable for children over five. Pet friendly. Blackwood 'Treetops' is also work friendly as the house has a large desk with landline and internet access. Due to the coronavirus, we are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

Original red brick building dating back to the 1800’s. Has been recently renovated into a modern, 1 bedroom, self contained studio apartment and only a 5 minute drive to the Ballarat CBD. Easy access to the Western Freeway making travel from Melbourne quick and easy. Cafe and pubs nearby (walking distance) and public transport very accessible. This accommodation has everything you require for a short or long term stay. Comfortably sleeps 2 people with option for third person on sofa bed.

Stoneleigh Miners Cottage

This charming and totally unique 1860's styled solid stone and timber Miners Cottage offers peace and tranquility. Nestled amongst towering gums and abundant native wildlife including our resident Kangaroos and Kookaburras, this property is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Located in Gordon in the beautiful Central Highlands, the Cottage is just over an hours drive from the Melbourne CBD and within a 1.4 km slightly elevated walk to dine at the funky Gordons Cafe or the Pub.

Lovely Converted Train Carriage/ Garden Studio

Lovely rustic train carriage, built in 1914 and since converted into cosy and comfortable accomodation. The carriage accommodates one or two guests, with a queen size bed. Self sufficient, the carriage has a bathroom, microwave and small fridge. A private space, the carriage is nestled at the back of the property amongst the trees and garden. You will have direct access, with parking in the carport at the end of the driveway. Ballan train station is a 7 minute walk from the property.

Only a 5 minute drive to Buninyong or a 15 minute drive to Ballarat, events and attractions can be easily accessed. Whether you want to stay for 2 nights or 2 weeks, we make sure that you are comfortable. We live next door and rent out this house, which used to belong to our parents. Perfect escape in the country! This cottage is in the back of the owner's place and totally independent. Enjoy the fantastic location this "love shack" is set in - explore the area, see lots of wildlife and take a break from the city! Set on the edge of a national park, there are lots of walks & bike riding trails around. You are welcome to pat, feed and play with the horses. There are also push bikes and fishing rods you can use.
