Cottage on the Park

Come enjoy all midtown has to offer in our newly renovated carriage house apartment directly across the street from Overton Park, the Levitt Shell, the Memphis Zoo and the Brooks Art Museum. This charming apartment has a fully stocked kitchen, private washer dryer, brand new bathroom, and accent wall dividing a comfortable living space from a cozy bedroom. There is on-street parking and stairs to access the cottage. Also, there is no smoking on the property and no parties. Thank you!

Whispering Oak Secret Hideaway

Whispering Oak was lovingly built in 1908 by the Mothershed family. It is adorned by a massive Oak tree that holds a swing. We have divided the house into two private apartments. Secret Hideaway is on the right. There are 3 spacious rooms. Living/dining with adjoining kitchenette, large bedroom with closet with en-suite luxurious bathroom with walk in shower. There a lovely front porch with swing that provides amazing sunset views and a beautiful backyard with large covered portico.

Memphis Backhouse at Overton Park

Renovated private backhouse in the heart of Memphis' historic Evergreen District. Right next to beautiful Overton Park, the Memphis Zoo, the Brooks Museum, and Overton Shell. Walking distance from and shops of Crosstown Concourse and Overton Square this guesthouse is perfect for a couple or small family. The open space has a large queen-sized bed and a futon which will sleep one adult or two children. Full kitchen and laundry with a beautiful new bath with shower. I love hosting!

With its own separate entrance, designated parking in driveway, spacious bedroom, newly renovated bathroom, living room, kitchenette, washer and dryer, and sunroom with wrap-around windows, this upstairs suite has everything you need and more!

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Our cottage, garden and treehouse are a little oasis right in the middle of the city. Within walking distance to Overton Park, you can enjoy the Zoo, the Brooks Museum and the Overton Park Shell in minutes. Restaurants, theaters and shops are also within minutes, with downtown in just a couple of miles. We live in the main house on the other side of the backyard so we’re available if any help is needed.

Our home is in a safe, friendly, neighborhood in the heart of the city. Harbert House is situated within walking distance to shops and food in Cooper Young + Overton Square, 2 miles from the Memphis Zoo and Overton park, & 3 miles from downtown. Harbert House was built in 1912 and has historic charm.
