Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

This quirky beach side A frame that has recently been renovated is well appointed. Wonderful outdoor furniture, double BBQ, great fire, dishwasher, washing machine, and only steps from the sea. Perfect for families in the summer or a romantic getaway for a couple in the winter. The view from your bed upstairs is just a gorgeous sea ! In the summer, throw all the kids together in the one room, and parents are upstairs in their own rooms. Sorry, not suitable for under 5 because of the stairs.

Escape to the country- The Sows Ear @ Rahui

Welcome to The Sows Ear @ Rahui 🐷. 45 mins east of Masterton. A renovated cottage in the beautiful established Rahui gardens 🌸 You cant get much more rural than this. No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, We are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a sweet as ride to the coast. Two great pubs near by

The house is a haven, down a long private drive in park like grounds opening to stunning views over the vineyards. Kererū Rest is in a semi rural position, enjoy relaxing on the deck or in the private outside beautiful bath. There is a bar fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle. Breakfast selection provided eg: muesli, bread, butter, spreads, orange juice,milk, teas and fresh plunger coffee. This may work for travellers who don't plan on spending vacation time cooking although a gas barbeque is available (see photo) Greytown is five minutes away providing boutique shopping and a variety of dining.
