The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Karearea Cottage is on 4 acres with a horse and pony next to the cottage. We are central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. an hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Hamilton, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive.

The West Wing at Haven Villa Our Piece of Paradise

Welcome to the West Wing! We live in an old villa on 2 acres of lawn and garden. Near the main house but not attached to it we have our guest house. We have decorated it in keeping with it’s history but with all modern conveniences including Sky TV. We have a comfy king bed in the studio part with a double bed upstairs in the gorgeous retro attic. The upstairs bed is suitable for a smaller couple or a single person or child. We have a lovely, well equipped kitchen.

Te-Ana Dome

Escape to a lovely tranquil setting in this romantic eco based retreat surrounded by nature situated only 1.5 hours from Auckland. Perfect in any weather. Situated at the start of the Kauearanga Valley with numerous bush walks and river swimming nearby. Close to the rail trail for biking or into town for a coffee. Maybe have a spa while watching the sunset over the hills, sit on the deck reading, or toast marshmallows over the gas firepit. Glamping at its best.

The Bus Depot.

The Bus Depot is a rustic retreat overlooking the beautiful firth of Thames. A beautifully restored 1979 Bedford bus which has all the modern comforts but still retains original features of the bus, this area has sleeping for two along with kitchen area, fridge, gas stove and a dining area on the covered deck. From the daybed to the loft space or going for a walk on the farm or just sitting in front of the fire you can enjoy the views at this outstanding location.

Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

Our modern and stylish 2 bedroom Kiwi Cabin offers all comforts and amenities you can wish for. This fully self contained tiny home comes with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full modern kitchen, a lounge and furnished deck with views over our paddock and the surrounding farmland. Shops, restaurants and more are a short 10 minute drive away in Pukekohe and access to the State Highway 1 is just around the corner. The perfect spot to explore Auckland.

Stylish guest house with rural outlook, Pokeno

Our Airbnb is a small self-contained guest house away from the main family home. It has its own ensuite bathroom, sun deck, TV, free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridge and microwave. It overlooks the rolling hills of Waikato and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from your own deck. It is located in the rural area of Pokeno south of Auckland. It’s conveniently close to SH1 and SH2, but far enough to not hear any traffic.
