Entire 2nd floor: 2BR 1 BA 3 deck (views) garden cottage 5 Km/3 mi from downtown. Great for 4 guests (5 is tight) with 1 queen, 1 double, 1 single & a daybed. I have 2 Labradors so dog lovers are WELCOME! We do allow limited use of our laundry - just ask. The full kitchen, desk, fiber internet, computer, 2 streaming TVs, a gas fireplace, but THIS IS NOT a MJ Vacation/party house! Noise limits start at 10 pm/no very young children. READ further below. I live in the studio on the first floor.

Romantic cottage w outdoor soaking tub on trails

This property is not for the bougie. Rustic, sun filled cottage retreat with gorgeous views of meadow and state park trails. The private separate bath house has a shower with amazing water pressure. The private soaking tub is located steps from your bedroom. There is nothing like a soak under the stars! No fancy updates but this is a beautiful slice of true Topanga. Best for the young who want an authentic “Topanga” experience. The main hiking trail is at your back door. Parking for 1 car

Orchard House Retreat

(Feb 2025- The Topanga village and homes were spared from the Palisades fire) Welcome to Orchard House Retreat! This 700 sqft private house is in an ancient oak forest in Topanga Canyon near Topanga State Park, the village and the beach! It’s a charming 1 bedroom 1 bath with a cozy living/dining space, modern kitchen and a deck. There’s a well stocked kitchen and orchard. Please note there are two sets of stairs up to the Retreat so being able to climb stairs is necessary. Please see photos.

You may help yourself to fresh herbs and seasonal fruits, including mulberries, blueberries, passionfruit, nectarines, citrus, and more.

Pirates of the Caribbean Getaway

Soak up groovy Topanga vibes and commune with nature at the Pirates of the Caribbean Getaway freestanding guest home. Highlights include lush tropical landscaping, private lawn, furnished decks, hot tub and sauna, an outdoor bathtub and shower, a queen size bed, and large flat screen TV. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, toaster oven, electric stovetop, and Keurig coffee maker. Pirates can accommodate up to 2 adult guests but no children or pets.

Studio Cottage

This is a small Studio cottage at the rear of my home. It's craftsmanesk in style with a partially open ceiling and a skylight. It's perfect for a couple or single person. There is a swimming pool but it's not heated, fine for swimming June to Oct depending on the weather, unless you are a polar bear. It's a 5 min walk to the MetroGold Line and a 10 min walk to new restaurants on Figueroa St. I have a fairly extensive cactus / succulent garden.

Franklin Hills is a family-oriented neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, but close to the hiking, shops, and food in Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Griffith Park, and downtown LA. Peace and serenity in the city.

Very quite and a perfect retreat for a single person or couple, or we have had several writers use it as a writing retreat.

It is the perfect spot for couples, small families, business travelers and solo adventurers seeking both short and long-term accommodations! It is your home away from home. Dogs are allowed (maximum 2 ) $125 for one $175 for 2 dogs. Sorry no cats.
