We overlook the beautiful Shella dunes surrounded by palm trees that sway seemlessly with the birds morning songs. Your staff will handle all cleaning needs and caretaker meets you at seafront. A chef can join for a small fee &Boat transfers can be arranged.

A specious one bedroom apartment with a private kitchen, bathroom and living room seven minutes walk from Peponi and two minutes to Banana House. The romantic upper terrace is shared and looks over the roof tops of Shela to the sea and there are two girls who clean everyday and will do laundry which is included. Pumbao House is a stunning villa located 2 minutes away from the beach in the beautiful village of Shela, Lamu Island, Kenya. It features a private swimming pool with a fountain in a cool and shady yard and breathtaking sea views from the upper terrace. Pumbao House can welcome up to ten people with its 5 bedrooms. The stewards Mickael and Rehema & the cook Mwembe will welcome you, cook delicious dishes, keep the house clean and do your laundry.

Bone Idle, Lamu Beach Home

A rustic beach house, Robinson Crusoe style. At the southern tip of Lamu Island, the house faces the Indian Ocean as it rolls in along a great stretch of empty beach. An absolutely perfect place for simply doing nothing, one can nevertheless also lie on the beach, float out to sea or take long walks across the island. Lamu, centuries old, and the most ancient Swahili settlement on the East African coast, is just a 30 minute boat ride away.

Set along Usita wa Mui, the main street of Lamu Old Town, this flat is the first project of a graduate architect and artist (the host himself). Jasmine was built by a family in 1989 and has always rung with peals of children's laughter. It remains a family holiday home. Jasmine is one of the few houses in Shela with a garden and plunge pool.
