Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Approximately 8-10 minute drive to the outskirts of town, Massey University, the IPU Tertiary Institute and to our local Summerhill shopping centre with a supermarket, takeaways, laundry, café’s and restaurants. Palmerston North's CBD is about 13 km's. Your private entrance leads to a guest suite attached to our house with a lounge, separate double and single bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette with basic supplies for preparing meals.

Historic Shearers Quarters Warm and Toasty

The Historic Shearers Quarters are located 11 kms from SH1, on a working farm that has remained in the family for four generations. We are based in the beautiful Kawhatau Valley. A unique accommodation in the heart of the Rangitikei. Light the old shacklock stove, sit back and enjoy peace and quiet- all while only 10 mins from the superb Dukes Roadhouse Cafe. Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV. The unit is a private guesthouse situated on a working farm, which is fully self contained and 5 minutes drive from Marton town. Continental breakfast supplies provided. The Tree House with hot tub @ Wood Pigeon Lodge

The Tree House is set on a small hill in the tree tops, requiring being able to climb multiple steps for access through the bush. At the top you receive stunning views of the surrounding forest. This eco house generates its own electricity and is designed to capture the sun. The two person wood fired hot tub is the perfect way to relax after a day skiing or climbing the Tongariro Crossing.
