The Hermits’ Hideaway is a unique, rustic cabin hidden away in the hills just north of Levin. Self contained & off grid, this is the perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life. There is nothing to do here but relax, kick back & de-stress. Enjoy waking up to the sound of the birds & the wind in the trees. Have a glass of wine on the deck while watching the sun set. There is also a small gallery on site, showcasing a range of quality hand crafted items available for purchase.

Pod 2 (Quad) - Flat Hills Cafe & Tourist Park

Escape to the heart of Rangitīkei at Flat Hills Tourist Park. Set on 17 acres of countryside, our cosy pods offer a rural retreat with comfortable beds, TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, plus access to shared amenities, kitchen, lounge, BBQ area and hot showers. Meet friendly farm animals, explore the maze, enjoy the playground and café, or simply relax and take in the views. Conveniently located on SH1 between Wellington and Taupō. Please note currently the cafe is closed on Tuesdays.

Cosy Hilltop Cedar Cabin.

Private stand alone cabin with bathroom in garden setting. Newly built to highest standard, located in Hilltop area. 5 min walk to Lake Taupo beachfront. 20 min walk to CBD. Local restaurant/bar, dairy and takeaway (5min walk). We offer a safe quiet fully insulated cabin, that sleeps two people (not suitable for children under 8) . Central base to experience the wonderful great lake tourist/events area. Guests will be comfortable in top of the line beds and a continental breakfast is included.

The Tiny Escape

Unwind from the demands of daily life & reconnect with nature! Surrounded by natives & nestled upon the hillside with expansive views overlooking our farm & the Valley below, this is a space to sit back & enjoy. Our Tiny House is off grid. It has double glazing, a mini fireplace, toilet with vanity in add-on bathroom off the deck, large porch area for dining and 2 outdoor baths for soaking in the views. Dogs allowed but outside only, a kennel is available Welcome to your Tiny Escape!

Totara Croft, a stargazers dream

A new 30 sq m cabin, views from every angle looking out at cows, sheep & valley below. Wake to birdsong. An old Totara forest behind the cabin to admire the views & watch the Kereru & other native birds. 15 mins to Feilding, Vinegar Hill, 20 mins to Kimbolton (Cross Hill Gardens) or 30 mins to Apiti. Continental breakfast supplied, along with tea, coffee, sugar etc. Large deck to sit and enjoy the views over the valley below. Plenty of parking for a trailer if required.

Annie's on Arawa

Private, Fully Self contained Bach, ideal for your winter or summer getaway. Independent and facing away from the main house separate bedroom from the lounge, full cooking facilities and all linen and towels are provided. The Mountain Chalet, a short stroll to town centre

Located close to bike trails and a mere 20mins from Turoa ski field and 40mins to Whakapapa ski field, this cosy chalet has everything you need for an epic summer or winter getaway. The new hot water system provides a hot and strong pressured shower. Not only will you be staying close to fantastic restaurants and cafes, but you’re also close to the supermarket, ski gear, shuttle and bike hire. Our cabin is situated in the closest residential village to Whakapapa Ski Field and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - a famous one day trek. You’ll love the view of the mountain (on a clear day) and the ambiance of a warm log fire. Great for all those wanting to explore the beauty of the National Park and Central Plateau, skiing and snowboarding (winter season), tramping, mountain biking (all year round) or just taking a much needed break away from it all.
