Designed for comfort and convenience, our space features a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Starlink WiFi, an EV charge point, and luxurious Simba memory foam beds. Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. We are not suitable for loud parties or celebrations.

The Barn - a luxury rural barn conversion

The Barn is 18th Century and recently converted. It has 1 bedroom with a Super king zip and link bed which can also be made up as a twin if requested. The space is beautifully furnished and equipped with an electric Aga, washing machine, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Excellent Starlink WIFI for remote working. Hilltop Lodge is a beautiful detached timber building set in enclosed garden (perfect for dogs). It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on a winter's evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. It’s a great base for relaxing, enjoying wildlife, adventuring, or being creative. 11am checkout.

Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

Grange Court Mews, Eden Valley and The Lakes

This elegant Georgian mews is set within a courtyard with outdoor space and adjoins the main house. It is a comfortable and stylish place to stay whether you are passing through or staying longer. An ideal location to access the Lake District, Borders and the Yorkshire Dales. The Eden Valley also has a wide range of places to visit and things to do. An ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing, motorcycling, eating out, sailing, kayaking and for taking time to explore the county on day trips.

18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

The Old Smithy was the original farm house built in the 18th Century. Completely renovated from derelict in 2002 and freshly redecorated in 2021, it boasts many of its original features; including the old fire range which will keep you warm on those winter nights (an initial basket of logs is F.O.C.) Downstairs, sandstone flag floors and oak beamed ceilings are throughout. A biomass boiler heats the cottage with timber sourced from the farm. Includes laundry, towels, heating and electricity.

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

It's perfect for exploring the fells of the North Pennines, a country walk or ride, visiting the towns and villages of the Eden Valley or just taking time out surrounded by books and art.
