Neighborhood Home near Capitol Hill Park Free, Walk to Metro

Park your car in a free off-street parking spot and walk or take the metro from this charming English basement with plenty of natural light. Stylishly simple, classic design is enhanced by exposed brickwork, and homey touches. Automatic booking is limited to 30 days, but feel free to contact us about booking a longer stay. Guests have their own private one bedroom with a full bath, living area and kitchenette. Free off street parking is available for small and medium sized cars. You will have complete privacy and use of the suite which is in our sunny basement. You will have your own entrance accessible by touchpad. We provide each reservation with a unique key code to unlock the door and control the alarm. We are available if you need us, but otherwise you probably won't see us. The home is in a residential neighborhood on the eastern side of Capitol Hill, a 30-minute walk from the Capitol and a short 10 minute walk to the metro, buses, bike share, and Zipcars. Buy food and flowers at the historic Eastern Market, or dine out at Barracks Row. You can reach the Capitol by foot (30 minutes) or Uber (under 10 minutes), but many visitors use the subway system, called the Metro. The Stadium Armory metro stop is about six blocks away (less than 10 minutes walk) and is on the blue/orange/silver line which takes you directly to the Capitol (Capitol South stop), Museums (Smithsonian stop) and the White House (Metro Centers stop). Of course the Metro will also take you to virtually any other location you hope to visit. There is also a bus stop one block away where you can catch the bus to the historic Union Station located right next to the U.S. Capitol. From Union Station you can walk to the Mall, get the metro, even take a train to your next Amtrak destination. Some guests use the "Circulator" bus which runs a loop around the Mall. You can buy a daily pass at Union Station to hop on and off the Circulator throughout the day. We we also have a bike share and zip car spot within a few blocks. Check-in is at 4, but we accommodate earlier check or luggage drop off whenever possible.

Fabulous close-in locale steps to Lincoln Park. Charming walk to Capitol, Eastern Market, Metro, Lib of Congress, Supreme Court in less than 20 min. Bike Shares and cheap ubers abound. Lower level of 1907 Victorian townhome with separate entrance invites you to a main living space with large TV, comfy sectional and day bed to relax after touring the city. Separate bedroom and bath provides perfect sleeping space for two. While no full kitchen or laundry, there’s a coffee bar, micro and frig.

Nestled in the heart of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, this beautifully renovated carriage house is the perfect home base for your Washington DC adventure. The house is decorated with modern furnishings and amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and cookware and the bedroom boasts a queen-size bed, while the bathroom has a full washer and dryer. A short walk to nearby restaurants and shops, and quick walk to Metro make getting around easy!

LINCOLN PARK GEM ON CAPITOL HILL

Located just 1 block west of Lincoln Park (closer to the U.S. Capitol) this English basement apartment is located on a lovely row of townhouses, within walking distance to Union Station and Eastern Market Metros. A popular Coffee shop (Wine and Butter) is steps away on Lincoln Park, restaurants are within a 10-15 minute walk or prepare meals in the fully equipped modern kitchen and dine in. Guest have access to a washer/dryer. A Guest pass for street parking is available with advance notice.

Prepare simple meals in a kitchenette, then explore D.C. on bikes included with the space (helmets, lights, and lock available in the unit).
