Today, it is a private Estate with big jungle trees, about 4km of trails, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens. The house has been fully renovated and is welcoming and comfortable. A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. Casa Viva Barrel is a barrel-shaped cottage which provides a novel experience while staying connected to the rich Costa Rican feel and ambiance.
