Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Sleeping 4 across a king and twin room, it's tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. Just 1 mile from Dunvegan and close to top restaurants, walks and attractions, perfect for a peaceful retreat or highland adventure.

Croft House Bothy in Heart of Highlands

Featured in The Guardian Travel's '10 of the Best Wilderness Holidays in Scotland', get back-to-basics in this beautiful old croft house bothy, hidden on a mountainside between the Five Sisters of Kintail and Eilean Donan Castle, close to the Isle of Skye. With no running water or cooking facilities, this stay is not for the faint hearted. Bathe in a cold mountain stream, see the stars in the dark night sky, feel the heat from a crackling fire, and fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall.

En-suite cosy bothy 5 mins to Skye bridge

Please note that there are no cooking facilities but a microwave and toaster are provided. The pod is situated next to my house in a quiet cul de sac in the small village of Kyle. Ariel photos are displayed in the listing. Views can be seen from a short distance away. There are no immediate views from the bothy so please feel free to cancel your reservation if this is unsuitable rather than leave a negative review for location. Ideal for visiting Skye or the many attractions on the NC500

The Cabin With a View

A spacious cabin which is within walking distance to all local amenities (swimming pool, shops, restaurants & bars). It is approximately 10 mins walk to the nearest bus depot & local train station. Ideally situated for exploring the hills and mountains round about. The bridge to the Isle of Skye is only 1 mile away and the hills of Kintail are within easy reach at about 15 miles. The quaint, picturesque village of Plockton is close by and the historic Eilean Donan Castle 8 miles away.

Falasgair

Falasgair is a modern cabin on a working croft, which captures uninterrupted views over Portree bay, Ben Tianavaig and the Cuillin hills in the far distance. The cabin itself has a full height atrium which includes a functional kitchenette, seating area, log-burner and a three-piece bathroom suite. The mezzanine level is accessed by a wooden staircase featuring a comfortable double bed. Situated just off the Scorrybreach trail this is the perfect launchpad for your Skye adventure.

Bothan dubh

Bothan dubh (Black Bothy) We are situated in Badicaul which is a 5 minute drive from the Skye bridge and a 10 minute drive in the other direction to the beautiful village of Plockton. Relax and unwind in our peaceful, self contained studio with en-suite bathroom. Enjoy amazing views from the studio looking over the sea to Skye. Centrally located for exploring with Plockton 5 miles away, Kyle of Lochalsh 1.5 miles ,Skye bridge 2 miles away & Eilean Donan Castle 10 miles away.

Lovely home to rent in Kyle of Lochalsh, near Skye

Our home is on the mainland, just 2 minutes drive to the Skye Bridge & walking distance (5 minutes) of the train station & bus stop so it is a great base for exploring the whole of the Skye & Lochalsh area and is more affordable than many options on the island. Perfect for 2 or 4 people but can accommodate 6. We are happy for 6 guests to stay but please be aware that it will be a wee bit of a squeeze. We're sorry that we don't welcome pets (due to my allergies).

With a wood burning stove, newly fitted double shower room with rainfall shower and a brand new kitchen complete with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher, you will have all the comforts you need for your tranquil escape. The Tingle Lodge has recently been refurbished to a high standard of quality. In doing so, we have tried to provide you with all the home comforts that you will need. You are in a very tranquil setting with some of the best sea and mountain views in the West Highlands. We are 2 miles from the Isle of Skye and 4 miles from Plockton. We are a perfect base for exploring Skye and Lochalsh. Please note we only take adults(minimum age 18)
