Donner Summit area has some of the finest skiing in the world, it's an ideal location as your base for hitting the slopes. Locally -Soda Springs Resort, Donner Ski Ranch, Royal Gorge, Sugar Bowl and Boreal. Squaw Valley and Alpine and Northstar are half an hour away

Come enjoy everything the mountains have to offer during the winter. Expect tons of charm in this rustic, "old Kingvale" cabin. Accommodates 4-6 comfortably. Starting from two cargo containers, this home was built to be a seamless space to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing any luxuries while you play. Designed to be an off-grid, sustainable home, this house features a movable glass wall, which opens the living room into the outdoors facing the setting sun. Beautiful native landscaping surrounds a basketball court and covered dining area. Indoors, natural light and a playful spark runs throughout with a second story hammock to enjoy it all!

A great cabin for a couple (or two couples) or small family, with easy access to great hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. In the winter, there is a sledding hill and miles of snowshoe trails out the back door. Four ski resorts are within ten minutes' drive. The deck is the perfect place to watch the bountiful stars in the clear mountain air any time of year. Please read the notes about winter conditions, especially the driveway, very carefully.
