We are centrally located to major attractions but be careful if sightseeing, adventure, or family fun is on your agenda. Once you are here, you might not want to leave. The current pricing is for the almost 800 sq/ft. apartment only. Most of our quest can not believe how big it is. They always say it is bigger than the pictures show it to be. There is a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking and full size washer and dryer. Also a queen bed, and a twin sofa sleeper in the bedroom, and a a queen sofa sleeper in the living room/kitchen area. A level and paved parking area. This is our second cabin built by hand. It has a kitchen with a stove, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. It also has basic cooking necessities. The cabin has a full size bed. The restroom has a sink and stand up shower. We will provide towels and linens. Despite the listing saying 2 beds, it is in fact, 1 double bed. Sorry for the listing mistake. We allow pets, but ask for prior knowledge. We are just minutes from 2 separate trailheads to the Appalachian Trail.

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
