Newly constructed cottage, no corners cut here. The exterior was done in a spruce wood siding, while the interior was done in a local spruce shiplap, white washed for a soft appearance. The cottage is clean, decorated with old and new so that it maintains that cozy feel. The fireplace adds a warm ambiance. You have access to hiking trails across the island, where you may come across Foxes, Caribou, Whales or Icebergs depending on the time of year. Don't forget to visit the Newfoundland ponies.

The Station- Black Duck Cottages

Black Duck Cottages is a local, family owned business and the perfect destination to lay your head in Central Newfoundland. Located in the beautiful town of Gambo, We offer 4 cottages, each designed to highlight an important part of Gambo’s history. “The Station” highlights the importance of the railway, “The Lumberjack” honors Gambo’s history of logging, “The Trapper” perfect retreat to follow a day in the wild, and “The Angler” will definitely be the catch of the day for any weary traveler.

our cottage has a breath taking view. while relaxing on our patio and enjoying the ocean breeze you may have the opportunity to see iceberg or view a whale in season. we are walking distance from a local restaurant,convenience store,walking trail and minutes from Cape Bonavista ,Dungeon and other historic sites. we have 2 bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen with open concept,laundry facilities, and on those chilly nights you can relax and enjoy our fireplace.

Gambo Pond Chalet

Chalet in beautiful central Newfoundland. On the shore of Gambo Pond. Home to some of the best Salmon Fishing and Trout Fishing on the island as well as endless miles of logging and resource roads for recreation vehicles. Snowshoes available at the cabin. A large wood stove in the main living area with plenty of dry firewood will provide a warm cozy atmosphere to sit back and enjoy the view of the pond. A classic sea side cottage with so much heritage charm. Many of the original architectural details on the exterior have been restored. This property is located in a historic Bonavista neighbourhood, known as Canaille, which was known for public houses and the fishing class. Many homes in this area of town were constructed before roads. This is why the narrow laneways snake and wave around the homes today.
