The Old Smithy is set is a secluded valley on the river Tavy. It is a mile from the nearest road, down a private track through beautiful moorland and woodland. It's an ideal base for walking, cycling wild swimming and getting away from it all, a true nature lovers paradise! We live in a house on the same site so will be on hand for any advice or assistance. We are on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and an hour's drive from numerous beaches. The thriving town of Tavsitock is 7 miles away.

Although Calstock is a small town it has many great features to make your stay a truly memorable one and is well situated to make exploring the South East corner of Cornwall really easy. The Count House forms part of the unique and historic former Tamar Union Tin Smelting Works. A modern converted warehouse a one minute walk from Weir Quay, once a bustling port of call for ships of all sizes.
