Camouflaged amidst a virgin pine and oak forest at 7000 feet, on the slopes of a remote, yet reachable, hamlet called Chalnichina (50 kms from Mukteshwar), is a soulful 02 Bedroom Private Retreat aptly called "The House on the Slope". The House sits upon multiple terraced fields giving way to a unique layered architecture. Ama Om's Homestay(Bhutanese Farm Stay )

Tucked away in the village of Jawana (which means the village beneath the cliff), about 20 min drive through a farm road from the main road near Punakha Dzong is a Bhutanese treasure called Aum Wangmo Homestay. The 5-acre farm has been in Aum Wangmo’s family for about 200 years, since her great-great-grandfather’s time. Well maintained, the farmhouse has been repaired, extended and renovated to house two modern toilets/bathrooms and five rooms to accommodate 10 tourists comfortably.
