Conveniently located between Highlands and Cashiers North Carolina, guests can enjoy the amenities of both towns as well as nearby hiking at Whiteside Mountain & Glenville lake.

Brookside Cottage

Brookside cottage is newly renovated and surrounded by forest in the mountains of western North Carolina. A mountain stream descends in front of the cottage providing an restful water feature. Located in Transylvania county between Brevard and Cashiers, the area is named the “Land of Waterfalls”. Supplies (food, drink, etc.) are available 2 miles from cottage. Caution to low riding cars/sports cars: the last half mile to this cottage is a gravel road and must ford a small stream.

Blackberry Cottage

Welcome to Blackberry Cottage! Our quaint, imperfect Farm Cottage was built in 1928 and much of it was updated in the spring of 2020. Come relax in the heated/cooled Cottage and enjoy the beautiful scenery and splendor that the Mountains of Western NC has to offer. Take day trips and visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, historic Waynesville, Canton, and Asheville then settle back into one of our cozy beds back at Blackberry Cottage... And don’t forget to visit the goats!!

If your idea of a vacation is serenity and relaxation, then the Deerfield Cottage is for you. The property sits on 12 acres, nestled in the Wayah valley just six miles from historical Franklin, NC. In the early mornings or at dusk, look for the deer that frequent the property. Often you will see fawns frolicking in the field under the fruit trees. A 100 year old corn crib harkens back to the early days when this land was part of a working farm.

Ruby Cottage - a Highlands' gem (street level)

Ruby Cottage is located on scenic Highway 64 just outside Highlands on the road to Cashiers. This cozy retreat is only minutes from the quaint shops and romantic restaurants in downtown Highlands. Activities abound - from fly fishing and hiking to world-class spas and cultural diversions. But the treetop views from this cottage's floor-to-ceiling windows may entice you to curl up with a good book and a glass of wine and stay indoors.
