Storybook Farm Cosy Cabin

Our cute, self-contained cabin is part of our working goat farm. It is 18' x 12' (216 sf). It was a tool shed when the farm was first built in the early 20th century. We renovated it into the cutest guest house ever! Outside, we offer acres of lawns on which to frolic, a private fire pit with a gorgeous mountain view, a swimming pond, trampoline, tire swing, lawn toys, and board games. Come meet our goats! Depending on the season, you might milk them, take a cheese class, or go on goat walks.

On the banks of The Greenbrier River at the base of Cheat Mountain in the old rail town of Durbin, is River House. A rustic, riverfront getaway just downstream from a WVDNR Trout Stock Point, beside the Mountain Rail WV Durbin Station, & 30 miles from Snowshoe. Nestled between WV's highest peaks & within minutes of our country’s best fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, skiing, hunting, Civil War Sites, & historic trains, River House is a perfect base for all WV has to offer.

Doe Hill Escape

Read this entire listing as Doe Hill is a very remote location. Please note this is an old farm house: No A/C, No Wifi, No Cell Service! Our home is one of 4 current family houses on an active working farm that has been in operation since the late 18th century. The home is rich in history but recent renovations make it quite comfortable. The large patio is perfect for watching the sunset over Jack Mountain or the moon rise over the Bullpasture. Clear nights are great for stargazing.

Olin’s Ridge

Quaint and charming Olin’s Ridge in nestled quietly in the foothills of Augusta County. This cabin is perfectly suited for a couple or small family seeking a quiet escape. A simplistic experience, with an Alexa, Wi-Fi and personally controlled heating/air throughout. Outdoors you can sit under string lights by the fire pit, enjoy a peaceful dip in the hot tub, or a swing on the front porch. With a short walk, you will find two ponds with spectacular views of the blue ridge mountains.

Brent's Cabin

Enjoy our cozy and comfortable cabin situated on 20 private wooded acres near several trout streams, George Washington National Forest, Virginia Game Commission, hiking trails, and caves. Brent's Cabin sleeps four, including a double bed and two twin beds in the loft. For skiing we are 1 hour and 30 minutes from snowshoe and 30 minutes from The Homestead. For fishing we are 5 minutes away from the Bullpasture, 10 minutes from the Cowpasture, and 25 minutes from the Jackson River.

Located in the pristine Mill Gap Valley. At night you can reach out and touch the stars. National Forrest is close by too. Enjoy the peace and tranquility that can only be offered in Highland county. The farm along with our Maple Syrup is certified Organic. From our apple trees to our hay and pastures. We are Organic! If you would like a tour of our farm or maple operation, let us know! By September 2020, there will be a new outdoor living area with a hot tub and dining.

Twin Oaks Retreat

Enjoy your stay in this cozy cabin. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a large living room with a beautiful view of the nearby mountains. Located 19 miles from Snowshoe resort, 5 miles from the Green Bank Observatory, and 11 miles from Cass Scenic Railroad. There is so much to enjoy from hiking and biking the Greenbrier River trail, canoeing or kayaking one of the nearby rivers or skiing at Snowshoe. Come visit us in Pocahontas County- nature’s playground.

Stony Brook Nordic Cabin

A bright open space with large windows and high ceilings that compliment the view of surrounding foliage. A large screened-in porch at the front of the house is perfect for intimate gatherings. A hot tub is available alongside the house in addition to a two-person outdoor shower, and corn hole boards and a fire pit offer additional options for family fun. You won’t have cell phone signal out here -and the WiFi isn’t strong enough to run too many devices at one time.
