Burnside Cottage is a Green Tourism Gold Award B&B situated on the north coast of Scotland. Just 1/2 a mile from the Pentland (Orkney) Ferry & 800m off the NC500. Ideal for John O'Groats and the Castle of Mey. We source our food locally where possible. We have an alcohol licence (licence no. Loch Ness

Named after the most famous loch in Scotland, the Loch Ness room sleeps 4 people (1 double or twin beds and bunk beds) and offers and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room also boasts an outside terrace with amazing views over the Fort Augustus and the River Oich. We are also dog friendly are happy to welcome well behaved pets with responsible owners. We will even provide a bed for the extra family member. (There is an additional charge of £20 per pet).

Loch Lochy

Room Lock Lochy Named after one of the four lochs which make up the Caledonian Canal, the Loch Lochy room sleeps 2 people (king size bed) and offers an en-suite shower room as well as a free standing bath in the bedroom. This room also boasts an outside terrace with amazing views over the Fort Augustus and the River Oich. For an additional charge of £20 we are happy to welcome well behaved dogs with responsible owners. We'll even provide the dog bed.

Loch Oich

Named after one of the four lochs which make up the Caledonian Canal, the Loch Oich room sleeps 3 people (1 double or 2 twin beds and a single small sofa bed) and offers an en-suite shower room. The sofa bed is especially suitable for children or small adults. We are also dog friendly are happy to welcome well behaved pets with responsible owners. We will even provide a bed for the extra family member. (There is an additional charge of £20 per pet).

This room can be joined together with the Neptune room to create a larger suite, suitable for a family or group. We are also dog friendly are happy to welcome well behaved pets with responsible owners. We will even provide a bed for the extra family member. (There is an additional charge of £20 per pet).

Room Neptune, named after Neptune's Staircase, sleeps 2 people (king size bed or twin beds) and offers an en-suite shower room.
