A spacious, comfortable, well equipped warm home - Ideal for family get togethers. We allow one well behaved dog ( sometimes two by arrangement). Booking calendar can be misleading. This two bed cottage is in an idyllic rural location with breath-taking views. Walk through fields onto a footpath down to the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water or uphill to the drama of Monsal Head. *Please note - bathroom refurbishment (completed 1st March 2026) The Coach House will still offer one full family bathroom for guests to share (with sink, loo, shower-over-bath). Blackthorn Hideaway is our luxury, bespoke Shepherd's Hut. It has open field views and is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks, pubs, restaurants, famous attractions, and is only 20 minutes from the Peak District National Park. The Hideaway is the perfect location for a romantic break with your small dog (additional charge). Outside is a private, decked area with chairs, table, luxury outdoor slipper bath and fire pit - a perfect place to relax, unwind, and cosy up under the stars.

Our studio has been a complete labour of love and now we're finally ready to share this beautiful little spot. You can wake up and hike until your hearts content, take in the sights in town and end your day reclining on the sofa with a cosy pellet burner. We have ample parking, private entrance, walking distance (1.2miles) to town (bars & restaurants), bus stop to Buxton / Macclesfield. Wifi, Sky TV,Netflix.
