Take a step back in time and sleep in a historical monument built in 1795 on this exquisite piece of farm property that has been lovingly restored. We practice regenerative farming and encourage biodiversity. This is a place to relax, reconnect and recharge. It is our happy place where we embrace all forms of wildlife and love our menagerie of domestic pets from pigs to turkeys to horses and lots of dogs. Sit back and relax with a book or keep an eye on the tide, whether you'd like to go fishing, kite surfing or just to enjoy the great out-doors. The adjacent nature reserve provides numerous foot-path routes through the indigenous Fynbos. From the balcony you may have some early morning sightings of small antelope and other animals as well as an abundance of bird life.

This property must be experienced to appreciate the serenity of 400m of private beachfront, a house perched above an endless stretch of isolated beach with ocean and sky as far as the eye can see, surrounded by 300 acres of natural fynbos. This self-sustaining eco beach house is off the grid, powered by the sun, and fed by underground borehole water - a unique opportunity to unwind and unplug. House access is via a sandy track off gravel roads requiring a 4x4 vehicle.

A double room with en-suite shower room. There is a wardrobe a tv and WiFi. The bedroom leads on to a lovely enclosed area where there is a dining table and comfortable patio furniture, here you can sit with the doors open or closed and enjoy the wonderful view. There is a fridge and microwave with tea and coffee making facilities. Through these doors there is a large patio area with a bbq and utensils. The views from this room are amazing

Marshall Farm is a traditional thatch family-friendly farmhouse in Vermaaklikheid. The farmhouse is 30 yards from the river, and has an enchanting beautiful wind free outdoor lounge area on a jetty connecting you to the river. The Duiwenshok River is one of the Overberg’s best kept secrets, approximately 3,5 hours from the bustle of Cape Town, this delightful hideaway is seemingly untouched by the hand of time.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.

Private little cottage in the field away from all the buzz. Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Just 5.5km gravel road. If very wet, you need a Suv or4 x 4 vehicle. All off the grid with no Eskom, no wi-fi, no tv. Only solar for lights, gas for hot water, stove and fridge/freezer. Wood for barbecue and fireplace.

The Studio @ The Place

Escape to our retreat for nature lovers, in the magical untouched Klein Karoo, easily accessible from Route62 and the N2. The Studio is comfortable, modern and open plan with private shaded outdoor seating, spectacular views, a plunge pool and free wifi. It sleeps 4.

Mr Albert was a true Gentleman. Read, write, relax in this luxurious Cottage based on two acres of Barrydale beauty. Go outside, immerse yourself in nature. The Cottage has an Inverter! Due to open waters this property is not suitable for children under 12.
