Tucked into its own pocket of woodland, Birch Tree Cabin is a secluded retreat set in its own private garden, within the host’s own acre and a half of organic herb gardens and orchard. There's no Wi-Fi here — and that's rather the point. This is somewhere to leave the screens behind, wake to birdsong, spend the evening by the wood burner, and let the pace slow right down. We are 3.2 miles from the wonderful market town of Abergavenny, gateway to the Beacons National Park. We have amazing views of Skirrid Mountain and countryside. You can roam freely around our 5 acres of land/garden . Old Shop Cabin is a beautiful and relaxing place from which to enjoy Hay-on-Wye (the famous book town) and the wonderful countryside of the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, and Herefordshire's Golden Valley. The cabin is the perfect place to come for a couples getaway. It is totally self-contained, has ample off-road parking and also has its own completely private, south-facing garden with a tranquil view looking out onto the village church.
