We have an enhanced cleaning policy to ensure guest safety and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times that includes: A top notch HEPA filter, spraying or wiping disinfectant on all surfaces and washing laundry with hot water and bleach. This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

When renting the home, you have exclusive access to the lower half of the property. This includes the garden, the fire pit, and the pool/spa. (Pool is unheated; spa is heated.) The hosts split their time between the ranch & Austin. They may be onsite in the house next door. Secluded 8 acre hill country retreat. As you drive the winding roads, you'll weave around to find a hill country oasis far away from any worries. Nestled deep in the oak trees outside Driftwood, a calm peacefulness welcomes all at Olinca Ranch. Olinca Ranch - where the sun sets to find the bright stars, with no light pollution or a neighbor in sight! Ahhh, the country sounds of whippoorwill's, crickets, and cicadas encompasses you. Take a deep breath and relax! Enjoy the 40 foot modern pool during the day and the heated spa under the moonlight. Exchange stories around the fire pit with a nice glass of red from one of the local wineries. Watch a sunset from the front porch or relax and smoke a cigar in the covered back porch with an evening Old Fashioned. Whatever you decide, you'll find serenity and depart with warm memories. Guests will have exclusive use to the pool, garden, fire pit, yard and pool toys in the barn. Park in the gravel parking lot - do NOT drive through the rock wall entrance to the garden.
