The tidal beach & the floating dock (May-Dec) is ideal for seasonal fishing, lounging & swimming.

A short drive to Wolfe's Neck State Park, Bradbury Mountain State Park, Mast Landing Audubon Sanctuary, the Desert of Maine, Winslow Park, farm stands and the beautiful mid-coast coast.

Unwind with spectacular sunrises from this sunny waterfront cottage on a tidal cove in the Kennebec River! This is the perfect home base for a midcoast Maine getaway. The post-and-beam cottage has cozy furnishings and expansive views across a field, pond, and cove. Bald eagles and osprey soar overhead, sturgeon leap in the river & nights are full of stars. Not recommended for those with mobility issues. Bathroom is downstairs, bedroom is upstairs. Owners live on property with small dog.

This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. Bailiwick Cottage is a cozy, private cottage that looks south down Freeport (Harraseeket) Harbor in Freeport, ME. It is a 4 season accommodation that is close to Freeport shopping, Portland eating, and the Adventure Schools of LL Bean. The cottage sits approximately 50 yards from our main house, has its own parking space and patio, and offers the ability to come and go as you wish. We have had 12 honeymoons in the cottage.
