Walking distance to Art gallery’s, coffee shops,Blue Hill Library, Blue Hill book store, fine dining and the town park! Also, Kneisel Hall is just a short ride where you can hear beautiful Chamber music! Take a day hike or a quick hike through Parker point trail to the local grocery store, go kayaking on Blue Hill bay or take a drive to Acadia National Park for the day. This is the perfect spot to experience Down East Maine, the way life should be! Nearby towns include Stonington, Deer Isle,Ellsworth,Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park,Castine, Camden, Brooklin Belfast, as well as many other quintessential coastal towns! Nestled in the quiet side of the Mount Desert Island woods just a short walk to Bass Harbor and the closest lodging to Bass Harbor Head Light and the Ship Harbor and Wonderland hiking trails in beautiful Acadia National Park are the Lighthouse Cabins. These cabins feature almost 400 square feet of living space with kitchenette, dining area and private bathroom. Our 1847 farmhouse is centrally located on Mt.Desert Island. A private entrance leads to an upstairs, sunlit, suite with a queen bedroom, living room with futon, private bath, and kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker. The house and stable, which once served the livery needs of Mt. Desert, are located on one of the major island roads. Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and the 'Quiet Side' of MDI are all close by, but be prepared for summer traffic.

Free Breakfast_Historic 2 Cats Inn-Samson Room

Built in 1884, this historic building is home to the popular 2 Cats Restaurant and the newly renovated Inn. Located in downtown Bar Harbor, the restaurant has been in operation for over 25 years and is considered by locals and magazines alike to be the best breakfast in town. The Inn is a few minutes' walk to everything Bar Harbor has to offer, including a free shuttle to Acadia National Park. Osprey Cottage

Osprey Cottage is located on Naskeag Point in Brooklin, Maine within easy walking distance to the Wooden Boat School and 2 miles from the town center where one finds a post office, general store, library, gift shops, two restaurants and art/craft studios. The house is surrounded by lawns and perennial beds, woods on the east side, with the front facing west with beautiful views of the sunset. Naskeag Harbor, a popular public beach and small boat launch site, is one mile away.

The Barnacle in Mid-Coast Maine

The Barnacle is a converted 1800's barn that is our guest house. It's rustic, cozy, and only 50 yards from the water and Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park. It's a perfect location to explore Mid-Coast Maine! Amenities: Breakfast items, beverages, coffee, tandem & single kayak, 2 bikes, pool table, dart board, games & movies! NOTE: The barn isn't insulated therefore it's IMPOSSIBLE to be spotless. Dust or bugs WILL appear.

Meadow Point Cottage

Meadow Point cottage is located on a very quiet five acre property with panoramic views of Frenchman's Bay and Mount Desert Island. It takes about thirty minutes to drive over to MDI and Acadia National Park. The property has a private beach for kayaking and woods with a picnic area and fire pit. It is a wonderful spot for walking and viewing wildlife; ducks, eagles, shore birds, seals and deer.

We have an open, airy studio apartment with a queen bed, twin bed, and twin trundle under the twin, private bathroom and full kitchen, located approximately 25 miles, or about a 40 minute drive, from Acadia National Park. Pets are welcome as we have a small fenced in area in the backyard. Bring home a lobster and cook it in the fully furnished kitchen.
