You will love the amazing uninterrupted view of Mt Roland from the cottage veranda - this view changes continuously reflecting different moods of the mountain depending on the time of day or night and the changing seasons and weather conditions - cloud, rainbows, sunrise or sunset, and occasionally snow. The cottage is warm and cosy with a real flame gas fire to keep you toasty. One bedroom has a king bed and the other a queen bed with deluxe natural fibre linen and electric blankets.

Nestling in a forest of Peppermint Gums is Wylah Cottage, so named after the Aboriginal word for the Yellow Tailed, Black Cockatoo, which is regularly seen and heard around the property. On 55 acres of bushland, teeming with wildlife, yet only 7kms from Deloraine – on the way to Cradle Mountain, and 45 minutes to either the Devonport Ferry, or Launceston Airport.

The cottage is set within a grazing paddock and is only a 2 minute walk from Brumbys Creek. The property is nestled into the base of the Great Western Tiers which provides great opportunity for bushwalking and wildlife viewing. Blackwood Cottage is the perfect place to use as a base for outdoor adventures or as a place to relax in front of the fireplace.
