This 2-storey house with a cozy open kitchen overlooks lush rice fields and sits by a small river under big trees – perfect for relaxing in tropical nature. Although in the countryside, it´s only 20 min away from Jogja´s city center. We are a German-Indonesian family living nearby who has loved this area for years. The chill breeze in the fields and the soothing sounds of nature invite you to unwind and forget about everyday life. A healthy, homemade breakfast is included in the room price.

At the heart of Joglo Gumuk are two traditional Javanese wooden houses, each with its own character, and a movement studio where we host yoga, movement classes and small retreats. The other 3 bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people with comfort. Bedrooms are well lit and provided with working desk to support WFH. The living and dining areas are spacious, cozy, suitable for small gatherings. The kitchen provides a gas stove, microwave, and a big refrigerator.
