Indulge in the tranquility of The Carriage House. This lovingly updated space features an open-plan living area, contrasting textures and patterns, chic furnishings, kitchenette, and shared access to the lush backyard with a fire pit. Come and enjoy Texas sunshine through the gracious windows on all four walls of your private apartment. Please be assured that surfaces in this space are cleaned with CDC approved disinfectants. All towels and bed linens, including bed spreads and blankets are laundered between guests. Spray Lysol is available for your added convenience. Elegant and comfortable, the Carriage House is centrally located, right at Central Expressway and Mockingbird, excitingly close to all the fun restaurants, bars, shopping, theaters and museums in Dallas. You won't find a better place, either for comfort or location. In addition to the queen size bed, the couch folds out to accommodate another person. Everything you need for a visit, long or short, is available and handy. Arriving late for check-in? No problem, there's an electric lock on the door, so you can check yourself in, as late as you want. Newly remodeled, the Carriage House is on the second floor of a separate building behind our home. We live on the property, but work and play keeps us away for a part of the day. The property is located just a few blocks from SMU and some of the more popular entertainment areas in Dallas, including Greenville Avenue, Knox-Henderson, Mockingbird Station, Uptown, and Snyder Plaza. Come and enjoy being in the most walkable area of Dallas. The Grenada, for example, is only a few blocks away. No worries over parking or catching an Uber. You can walk there in 5 minutes. If you are flying into Dallas and don't want to rent a car, you can get to The Carriage House many different ways. DFW: The most economical way is to use the Orange Line on DART, accessed from Terminal A at DFW. Get off at Mockingbird Station. From there you can walk 15 minutes south to the Carriage House, OR take DART bus 24 Via McMillan. Stop at Morningside Ave. We are only steps from this corner. Love Field: You can also access the Orange Line on DART, however, you'll have to take the Love Link Dart bus to Inwood/Love Station. From there, the directions to the Carriage House are the same as above. Also, check out SuperShuttle, a shared ride service from either airport. As always, there are taxis, Uber and Lyft. I'm a traveler at heart, and although I get excited about planning my next adventure away from home, I think it's safe to say that Dallas is a wonderful vacation destination. We have some of the best food in the world, a proliferation of sports and music venues, great theatre and other entertainment events, a lively art scene and tremendous shopping! I love my city, come see us! Located in the lively and walkable Knox- Henderson neighborhood, this renovated home built in 1927 has some original charm with updated conveniences. Start your day off with a coffee in our perfect screened-in porch that overlooks our unique zen garden and backyard oasis. Cook in our modern and updated kitchen with Stainless steel appliances, gas stove and beautiful Quartz countertops. The living room includes a comfortable futon couch that converts to a double bed, 42" Smart TV with cable, extra seating, and books and games for entertainment. Sleep like a baby in the master bedroom on a luxurious queen memory foam bed, with 32" Smart TV, large closet, side lamps with USB ports and access to the backyard. The smaller, second bedroom includes a day bed with trundle - great for kids!- as well as a desk with comfortable chair to use as a workspace. The gorgeous bathroom includes a large soaking tub with moveable shower handle, plush towels and bathrobes and hair dryer! Guests have full use of the home and it's amenities. Text or Call hosts at anyt The house is set two blocks from Henderson Avenue and Lower Greenville, which boast some of Dallas' hottest bars and restaurant. Take a stroll to Velvet Taco for Mexican fare, then head to Candleroom to dance the night away. Uber & Lyft are the most convenient way to get around town without your own transportation. There are LIME BIKES parked all over the city that you can rent via app for $1/hour. There are also 3 DART stops within 5 minutes walk- all off Henderson- that will take you into downtown or can link you to a rail station nearby to get to your destination. There is a keypad entry on the front door so no need to keep track of a set of keys. The home has an alarm system for additional piece of mind and if you're comfortable using it, we can supply a personal code to use during your stay. Also, Monday is our trash and recycle day. Someone will come by (outside only) to take to curb early that morning.

Charming 'M Streets' Guest Cottage

The Cottage was built in 1937 and is located behind the original home, adjacent to the garage. The renovation to the space was just completed in July, 2014. The space is very cozy and offers a full kitchen, bath, living area that can also offer additional sleeping with two twin beds. The new renovation also includes a sleeping loft with a queen size bed.You will find plenty of storage in a beautiful vintage wardrobe. The space has wireless internet access. The coffee shop/diner two blocks away also has free wifi. If you need to do any laundry, we suggest nearby bundle laundry service or laundrymats. We will launder sheets and towels once a week. Parking is on the street in front of the house. Outside you will find your own private seating area with separate access from the main structure. Our property is located in the heart of the 'M' Streets off of Lower Greenville. The area was established in the 1920's and is full of restaurants, bars, shopping and live music. The property is very centrally located with easy access to downtown, the arts district, White Rock Lake, The Arboretum and much more! If you would like to utilize public transportation, you can hop on a bus at the end of the block, and the rail station is just 5 minutes away. Light and airy, open floor plan , good layout for vacation rental. We live 1 miles away and are available as needed but you won't see us unless were called for assistance. Mockingbird Lane is located in the Lakewood/Hillside area close to White Rock Lake, Greenville Avenue, and Dallas Arboretum. The duplex is within walking distance of Hillside Village with eateries including Manny's Uptown and Dream Cafe. DART transit station at Mockingbird and US75 is 3 miles away. The Duplex is within walking distance to some quality affordable restaurants.
