The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at this unique location, secluded amongst scots pine and birch trees with stunning views, close to the NC 500 and also right on the door step of a Corbet and a Munro for hill walking. There is a beautiful walk around the river blackwater just minutes from the cabin with falls and old bridges. Ethel's Cottage: Idyllic Riverside 1 Bed Cottage

The recently refurbished and modernised Ethel's Cottage is in an idyllic location, flanked by two rivers. This gate lodge cottage offers the perfect place to stay for a few nights or longer! Easily accessed from the A9 (on the NC500 route) and just a two-minute walk from a secluded beach and estuary with lots of short walks from the front door and plenty longer ones in the vicinity. Modern appliances and comfortable furnishings, the cottage has everything you will need for a relaxing break.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

Croft cottage, 334 Kinnauld, refurbished in 2021 is situated in the heart of the Highlands, a 5 minute drive from A9 and North Coast 500 route. 50 miles north of the Highland capital Inverness and a 15-minute drive to Dornoch. The perfect stop for those interested in walking, cycling or wildlife. This quiet and tranquil cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery and wide-open spaces. In Sutherland you can enjoy fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more.

A traditional croft house, lovingly refurbished, with beautiful uninterrupted views over Sangobeg beach (2-3 mins away) and the North Atlantic beyond. Cosy lounge with wood burning stove, 3 bdrms, 2 bthrms. The famous Smoo Cave and closest pub/restaurant are one mile away. Durness village hosts two shops, petrol station, and another pub/restaurant. Balnakeil Craft Village has local artists and businesses including a chocolatier, hairdresser, eatery, art galleries, and more.

We welcome you to our guest flat which is attached to our home in Portmahomack. We are a sand dune away from a safe beach and coastal walks where you may be lucky and see otters, seals and some of the Moray Firth dolphins.The village has a golf course with a hospitable clubhouse And a fascinating museum the TARBAT DISCOVERY CENTRE whose website is well worth a look at. The general store has a good choice of foodstuffs which you can cook in our well equipped kitchen.

For casual visitors, beachcombers, birdwatchers, stargazers, shore foragers, with the sea as it’s soundtrack, we welcome you to our cabin which offers modern comforts for two in a unique location - where you can get away from your everyday pressures.

The Pavilion, Foulis Castle, Highland Scotland

The Pavilion is a Luxurious Self Catered Wing of Foulis Castle just out of Evanton near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. The Pavilion is positioned within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is a 15-20 min walk away from the Storehouse of Foulis Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm).
