Te wāhi whakangā is a place of rest. Relax in a hot bath on the private balcony overlooking St Clair beach and breathe in the cool sea air. This cozy studio is the perfect place for a restful getaway. The space has a queen bed, TV, WiFi, aircon, a separate bathroom and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and toaster. Local cafes and restaurants on St Clair Esplanade are a 10 minute walk down the hill and Dunedin City Centre, a 10 minute drive, if you can get away from the stunning ocean view...

Set in a private courtyard garden below our own home, you have a warm , compact modern cottage , tiny, but designed for comfort. There are two rooms ; the living area with mini kitchen , and the bedroom with an en suite shower . From the living space and private deck you have views of the sea through the bush garden. Broad Bay on the Otago Peninsula is an ideal base for exploring the local attractions such as Larnach Castle, Albatross Centre and wildlife on the beautiful nearby beaches. .

Quiet country surroundings with so much natural beauty. Scandinavian-style modern interior the barn has two levels combining elements of comfort and light. The Birch ply interior, wool carpet and heat pump create a warm and cosy vibe. The Barn is set in a rural landscape overlooking a lovely large pond inhabited by local birdlife. Approx 10-15 mins drive from Dunedin city centre and 3 mins to historic Port Chalmers and some of the best beaches and coastal scenery Otago has to offer all nearby.

Nestled against remnant native bush, this location is nevertheless an easy 15 minute walk from the university and central Dunedin. 20 minutes to the Forsyth Barr Stadium. Plenty of free on-street parking and the bus route passes the front door. This area is well serviced by food outlets and there is a nearby supermarket and laundromat. You will have your own private entry and can keep to yourself or feel free to pick the brains of your host, Chris. Photography is a favourite topic!

Lovely Historic School, Karitane

Our unique stand alone studio is a small, historic, renovated school about 30km north of Dunedin and close to the village of Karitane. The school has everything you need for a warm, comfortable stay. There books and games for your use. We live in a repurposed sheep shearing shed nearby and both buildings are surrounded by extensive gardens and plantings. There are panoramic views of the very picturesque coast line and out to sea. It is very peaceful and private.

Little Valley Cottage

Come and stay at Little Valley Cottage and wake up to sound of peace, quiet and beautiful bird song. The cottage is situated in a very private and tranquil setting in a 5 acre (2 hectare) block of native bush and gardens yet is still close to town. The Cottage is a two bedroom fully contained dwelling. It's an older wooden cottage so it's basic and has a few quirks but it has all the amenities to keep you comfy and cosy for a short term or long term stay.

Tūī retreat - a nature lover’s paradise!

If you love being surrounded by nature but also desire proximity to town, this is the place for you! The tui retreat is a quiet and serene space surrounded by native bush and bird life. You’ll stay in the sleepout, which is a brand new, fully insulated, space which is fully detached from the main house. It has a queen bed (linen and electric blanket provided), it’s own private bathroom, mini fridge, table and chairs, and tea/coffee making facilities.
