This vintage and peaceful cabin is the perfect place to unplug from the craziness of the world and reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the life you were meant to live. Science now confirms what the "Ancients" have always known, time in nature is essential to our health and well being. This cabin has 3 bedrooms (queen, 2 twins, 2 twins). There is also a roll-away twin bed in the main bedroom. There are two full bathrooms, one with a claw foot tub.

Located on the 68 acre historic Paxton mining property, this cute little cabin and 5 others sit with a view of the 1917 Paxton Lodge. Take a walk down to our private beach on the Feather River, or play a game of disc golf, horseshoes, corn hole and others. Read a book from our Tree Library while you enjoy your private propane fire pit and bbq… Nearby, rent an e-bike in Quincy. Visit lakes, fire trails to hike, quad, bike, or horseback ride. And best? Lay around guilt free and do nothing!

Experience a breathtaking, scenic view of ranch life from this unique and tranquil log cabin located on a working cattle ranch. Surrounded by pine trees in a quiet location where you can appreciate the scenic beauty of Sierra Valley. Unwind in the peacefulness of the front deck and soothing trickle of the small creek or take a short drive to the favorite local sites/shops in nearby rural communities: Sierraville, Sattley, Calpine, Beckwourth, Portola, Blairsden, Graeagle.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The cabin is located behind Sierra Sky Lodge in Cromberg and is 1 mile from the wedding venues, 20 mile house and Kinship Ranch. You can enjoy the seasonal heated swimming pool at Sierra Sky Lodge. Hiking, lake swimming and exploring is a beautiful 20 minute drive to the Gold Lakes Basin area. 5 Fantastic golf courses are just 15-30 minutes away. So much to do in our rural area and come back to our peaceful hideaway.

We are a pet-friendly dwelling and welcome all pets who have good house manners. As we do live upstairs with 3 pets - there will be some footsteps from time to time. This unit stays nice and cool in the summer and there are heaters to keep warm in the winter. There is lots of space to socialize and a full kitchen to utilize. Whether traveling for work or pleasure - The Storybook Suite will provide a cozy mountain farm retreat.
