Located 3 mi. west of the small town of Frederic, Mi, & situated on 20 acres of land, this rustic log cabin provides a peaceful respite from the hectic pace of urban life. The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Whether you seek a romantic get away with someone special, or a lively get together with friends or family, this place offers something for everyone.

Cozy cabin on 20 acres(occasional neighbor across road) where you can enjoy snowmobiling in Grayling/Gaylord area or ATV riding in the Frederic area. Just minutes from Hartwick Pines State Park or Forbush Corner for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. 20 minute drive from treetops resort in Gaylord. Camp Grayling (near I-75) holds occasional trainings see their FB for schedules.

The Cottage at The Busted Grouse is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy an Up North retreat reminiscient of the family cottage they may have grown up with. Located in the heart of the Au Sable River's Holy Water section, we've gone to great lengths to hold true to the mid-century character of the cottage while making modern upgrades of all mechanicals and even a Wolf range. All of the rooms are spacious, allowing for plenty of room to gather or find a secluded spot to relax.

Club Thunderbird Lodge: Ultimate Summer Sanctuary

Club Thunderbird Lodge is a private lodge & cabin combo on the Au Sable River. The 7 acre property is completely surrounded on both sides of the river by 250 acres of Trout Unlimited land that is yours to explore- no neighbors in sight! Pet-friendly.Both the Lodge and the Cabin are solely yours to enjoy with your family and friends during your stay. We have Direct TV in the main cabin, Thunderbird Lodge only. Currently, there isn't a TV or Cable in Squall Cabin.

Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby. A youtube tour is at my site, bill semion, called A tour of the river house 2020. Miniimum Age: 25.

The Castaway on the Ausable River Holy Waters

Tucked into the tall pines alongside the Holy Waters. The Castaway offers an amazing location for enjoying all the AuSable has to offer. Just outside the kitchen guests will enjoy an outdoor area & firepit. The deck around the front of the home has a grill and river front view. The cabin itself sits about 200 feet back from the river. Entry into the river off the property is ankle deep rocky bottom. This is not a party destination.
