1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Watch the local pod of dolphins as you take in the stunning morning Sunrise. ( worth getting up for ! ) Only a 15min drive from Cowell were you will find our Award winning Butcher for their locally made sausages sold in the IGA Supermarket, Pubs, Bakery, Cafe's and local grown Oysters can be purchased.

The Cosy Nook

Recently renovated, large basic yard with plenty of space for boat or caravan. The Cosy Nook is suitable for couples, a family or group of friends wanting to experience a seaside adventure. Two undercover car parking spaces, walking distance from the Main Street, shops, jetty (approx 1km), playground and Waterpark. Cowell boasts excellent fishing/crabbing and we have much local knowledge to share. Fresh oysters also available on request. We live nearby and are happy to help any way we can.

You get to enjoy our whole gorgeous cottage all to yourself!! Air conditioned and with a cosy combustion heater it’s an inviting place to relax in. Enjoy a bbq in the outdoor entertaining area after a fabulous days fishing and exploring our wonderful beaches. See you soon at your home away from home on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula!

Cowell Accommodation Facility #1

Large fully self-contained house with a queen bedroom complete with ensuite and parents sitting room, 1 double bedroom and 5 dorm style single rooms with bunk beds. Each room has it's own air conditioning. Ideal for large groups with 4 bathrooms complete with shower and toilet plus 2 extra toilets. Outdoor pergola with BBQ facilities. Close to main shopping area, next door to school oval. Ample secure parking with a large enclosed back yard. Pets must be agreed upon prior to booking.

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

Moonta Bay Self Contained Unit

Large one bedroom unit, set on it's own block of land. Located in a quieter part of Moonta Bay. You are a couple of minutes drive to the shops of Moonta and the historical Moonta Mines. A couple of minutes drive to the Moonta Bay beach and jetty, which includes a free water park for kids to play at the foreshore. 5 minute drive to Pt Hughes boat ramp. There is plenty of off street parking and room for children to ride bikes safely away from the road. Small dogs are permitted outside.

Sea views

Continental breakfast on request. Uninterrupted sea views from kitchen, dining and lounge area. Accomodation consists of lounge, dining/family area plus kitchen. Master bedroom, one queen bed, shower, separate toilet and powder room. Happy to have a discussion with regard to bringing your pet. Three minute walk to south beach, jetty, local store and Tavern. Room for boat outside. 9 hole Greg Norman designed Golf Course close by. Owners live upstairs. Shared laundry. Dog on site.

Sandcastles 1 Moonta Bay

*Loose supplied linen option available or BYO* Newly renovated property situated on the beachfront with near 180deg views. No roads between the property and the beach with convenient stairway access to beach at the front. Neighbouring property, Sandcastles 2 Moonta Bay may also be of interest depending on availability and your group size. Note, a security camera at Sandcastles 1 shed monitors the rear of property where property is entered and rubbish bins are stored for security.

Shack 43 is only meters from the beach. The property is a spacious and relaxing self contained, perfect for a family holiday, with a large living area. The 3 bed rooms all have Queen size beds with a extra 2 single fold up beds Fully contained kitchen to cook your own meals.
