Hedge Lodge

Hedge Lodge is a spacious, self-catering holiday cottage sleeping up to five people. It enjoys beautiful views across fields of horses and backs onto a natural pond bursting with wildlife. The cottage boasts a large open plan kitchen/dining and sitting area with doors opening to a private courtyard The first floor has a quiet area for reading, or play area. Two bedrooms and a family bathroom. Well behaved animals are welcome on the ground floor only and WIFI, bed linen and towels are included.

Welcome to our seaside chalet on a small friendly site situated in the lovely area of Kessingland. This area is great to explore. For families you have Africa Alive, Pleasure Wood Hills and beautiful beaches like Kessingland and Southwold. For quieter days out there is Snape Maltings, Minsmere and quiet towns like Beccles. But for us, the icing on the cake is the beach which is a stones throw away, tucked behind the chalet. We aim to give you the home from home chalet. 10% off a week stay.

You and your dog/s can enjoy a private enclosed meadow to sit and watch the wildlife fly over head. Dip your feet in the River Waveney situated alongside the dog friendly village pub, a mere 5 mins walk away or stroll along to the woods. Your young child/ren too can experience glamping, we can set up a chair bed with a mattress topper for a cosy stay. Den building in the meadow will be a delight as they embrace nature around them. Betsey Trotwood is a beautifully renovated stable at The Rookery, Blundeston home of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Combining contemporary luxury with period features it provides quirky pet-friendly self-catering accommodation with private courtyard and easy parking. Rural but not remote on the edge of an idyllic village between Lowestoft and Gorleston, it is close to pubs, sandy beaches, the Broads, Suffolk Heritage Coast and North Norfolk. Ours is a quirky home, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a lounge (with wood burner)and kitchen diner. The Annex is nestled in the woods conveniently located for the broads, Beccles, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Our closest beach, Gorleston is a 10 minute drive away. In a very peaceful setting, we hope you will be able to unwind and relax. The Annex can be arranged as 2 superking bedrooms, or 1 superking and 1 twin. With your own entrance you will be totally independent.

You will be well looked after staying with us. Our Annex proves very popular with travellers seeking sparkling clean, modern details with all the necessary touches to make a comfortable bolt hole holiday, ten minutes walk from Southwold’s beaches and high street. We can accommodate 2 adults in the main bedroom and a further two guests in the living space, in two sofa beds (one small double and one single). A high chair/travel cot can be provided.

Meadowside Lodge is situated in our grounds and offers peace and privacy with an enclosed garden and patio. Beautiful open space with widened doorways for wheel chair users we can also provide a ramp and shower chair if requested. There are two village pubs which are within walking distance and a small shop. This is a great base from which you can explore everything Suffolk has to offer. Not to forget we are pet friendly
