You are completely secluded from the hustle and bustle, yet only 25 minutes away from the city centre, 15 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from three championship golf courses. Take long strolls in the vineyards right from your back door, or just enjoy the mountain views from your private garden. The house is spacious (145sqm) and quiet, with views from every window, and is flooded with natural light. Exposed brick walls show the history of the cottage that used to be stables in the 1700’s and formed part of the original Hope Of Constantia farm. The cottage is serviced weekly with a full clean and change of linen. The garden is also serviced weekly, unless otherwise requested. Access all areas in the cottage including kitchen, living room, study, bedrooms, a private garden, as well as full access to the surrounding farm. There is also a secure garage for parking your car and the house is fully-alarmed. This cottage is situated in a gated private lane with four other homes where the other residents value their peace and tranquility. You are welcome to explore the surrounding area but please respect the residents' privacy. The owners of the cottage live just 100m away with their dog Rafiki. We provide coffee and tea for our guests, as well as a simple breakfast for your first morning at the cottage. Groceries can be purchased in advance of your arrival at an additional fee. Home has immediate access to walking trails and Vlakenberg hiking trail. All bedrooms have stunning views onto mountain ranges.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.

Power outages are being experienced by SA - the oven/stove is gas, the hot water is gas, the internet is solar driven and we have 2 battery lights for guests use.
