Mother Goose Cabin

Located just minutes from the Mukilteo ferry and the charming sea town of Langley, our little organic hobby farm nestled beneath old evergreens offers convenient respite. Interact with sassy swan-like sebastopol geese (they love apples!) or a kaleidoscope of 50ish chickens, two roosters and our most recent additions: two brother goats named Frank and Petunia. Groomed trails lead to a 100 acre nature preserve managed by our neighbors The Whidbey Institute that we call the "100 Aker Wood".

Spectacular Whidbey Island high bank waterfront view home on 2.5 acres with big yards and lots of privacy. Courtyard Cottage is a charmingly restored 1940's fisherman's cottage, which includes an adjacent studio. The Main Cottage contains a bed for 2, bathroom, and kitchen, and the Studio functions as a spacious living room with TV, game table, and sectional. The buildings are surrounded by a fenced courtyard and patio which makes for a relaxing and private getaway. The community beach is just a short walk downhill. The Clinton Ferry is 3 miles away and Langley is a 15-minute drive.

Across from the driveway entrance you will find 600 hundred acres of trails called the Putney Woods, a popular area that has been designated for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The cabin itself has a large wrap around deck, as well as an outside fire pit area for use when no burn ban is in effect.

This is a comfortable, two-bedroom home at the top of the bluff, with stunning views west across Useless Bay and the Puget Sound to the mountains of the Olympic Peninsula. At the foot of our path down the bluff, you'll find our beach-front cabin, a magical spot on Maxwelton Beach. Useless Bay is so shallow that at low tide you can walk for miles along the tidal flats.
