A cozy, newly refurbished home on our family farm located in Northern Southland - 10 minutes out of Lumsden and just 30 minutes from Gore; the trout fishing capital of NZ. Queenstown, Te Anau and the stunning Catlin's coast are all within 2 hours drive.

Kaka points safe, lifeguard patrolled beach (summer) is across the road. House is located only 200m from the Point Cafe/store/bar and local play ground. Explore Nugget Pt and enjoy spotting the spectacular sea lions basking on the rocks. Hide away to watch the yellow eyed penguins arrive at Roaring bay. Local bush walks within 1 km.

Conveniently located on SH1, next to the cycle trail and just a few kilometres from Lake Waihola or a 35 minute drive from Dunedin ... this is the perfect place to relax after a long day. With a full kitchen, you can be self-sufficient or choose from several other dining options. TV, books, games, and even friendly sheep for your entertainment! Light continental breakfast also included.

Takahopa Bay Retreat is in the heart of the Catlins and offers sweeping panoramic coastal and established native Forest views. New purpose built apartment with views across the ocean and just steps from the beautiful Kaka Point beach. Features a separate bedroom with King size bed, a living area and fully-equipped kitchen with convection microwave oven, stove top, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The tiled bathroom has a walk-in shower. Just a ten-minute drive to the famous Nugget Lighthouse.

Mt Talbot Cottage

Come and experience country living in this lovely 2 bedroom cottage on the edge of the Gore Township. Pets okay but MUST be keep outside. NO pets inside. Got no problem with people using electric cars but being sneaky and plugging in after dark will earn you a bad review and comments. Just be honest and talk with us.

Country Outlook

Entire 3 bedroom house situated on a farm with country views from your bedroom and living spaces. Comfortably sleeps 5 but if required can provide a rollaway bed for 6 quests. We are 3 kms off State Highway 1 and 23 kms from Gore and Tapanui. Ideal base for visits to Central Otago, Catlins and Southland areas.
