Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling situated in the heart of the Pennines in the beautiful Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Otley is a beautiful, historic market town hosting a year round programme of live events, festivals, markets with a range of cafes, pubs, restaurants, independent shops, Waitrose & Sainsburys, walks, parks and playgrounds.

The first floor bathroom/wc has an electric shower over the bath. There is a comfortable living room with WiFi, TV and DVD player and views to the river and park. It is self contained with one spacious bedroom which has a very comfortable double bed and a pull out sofa bed. We are close to Dewsbury Hospital with easy access to Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield. M1 and M62 motorway links. We have made the cottage as comfortable as possible to ensure you enjoy your stay.

The house is part of the utopian vision of Saltaire created by Sir Titus to create a community village to house and support the mill workers. The property offers a unique base to experience Saltaire, within walking distance of the all the key local attractions.
