Charming Canalside Cottage

Our comfortable cottage has easy access into the heart of Chester. The garden gate opens onto the canal towpath with a ten minute stroll up to our local Cheshire Cat pub. Alternatively, stay in and snuggle up with the wood burner. On a fine day, turn left out of the back gate for a pleasant 35 minute walk, following the canal directly into the beautiful city of Chester. Maybe take a boat trip on the river Dee? Alternatively, Chester Zoo is just a 10 minute drive, continuing down the A41.

A quaint cottage, at Aston Hill Farm, Ewloe

This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities.

The bright living room has a wood-burning stove and TV, while the dining room leads to a modern kitchen with bifold doors to the secure garden. The Cottage at The Hare is a handsome Victorian workman's cottage and has been beautifully restored with a kitchen/diner, lounge, utility room and two en-suite bedrooms and reserved parking for two cars. You couldn’t call it a country cottage, it is, after all, in the pub car park but it is in the heart of the village of Farndon, a conservation area with lovely walks along the river Dee and over the water meadows, with easy travel distance to Chester, Wrexham and Liverpool.
